Alavés vs Real Sociedad (10 January 2027, La Liga): match facts, form and head-to-head

Alavés, sitting third with ten points after three wins, a draw and a loss and a comfortable 11‑5 goal difference, will host a struggling Real Sociedad, who occupy twelfth place with seven points from two victories, one draw and three defeats and a -5 goal margin. The home side’s solid defensive record and prolific attack give them a clear statistical edge, while Sociedad will be desperate to close the six‑point gap to the European spots. Their last head‑to‑head meetings have favoured Alavés, who have generally kept Sociedad at bay on their own turf. Both teams will need to seize the three points to either cement a top‑four push or revive a faltering campaign.
