Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest (16 January 2027, Premier League): match facts, form and head-to-head

Manchester City host Nottingham Forest in what promises to be a striking contrast between the league’s current leaders and a side fighting to climb out of the lower half. City sit second on 12 points after a flawless start – four wins from four, scoring eight and conceding just two – and will be keen to maintain that momentum at home. Forest, meanwhile, occupy 12th place with five points, having drawn twice and suffered a solitary loss, their goal‑difference even at zero after netting four and allowing the same number. The head‑to‑head record this season heavily favours the Citizens, but Forest will be desperate to snatch points and close the gap to the mid‑table. A win for City would solidify their push for the title, while a point for Forest could spark a much‑needed revival.
