Shakhtar Donetsk vs Real Madrid (27 January 2027, UEFA Champions League): match facts, form and head-to-head

Shakhtar Donetsk will host Real Madrid in what promises to be a high‑stakes clash, with the Spanish giants sitting second in the league on 12 points after four wins and a single defeat, boasting a 14‑4 goal difference. While Shakhtar’s recent form remains a mystery due to missing data, the contrast with Real’s unbeaten run in the league—four straight victories—sets the tone for a potentially one‑sided encounter. Historically, meetings between the two clubs have tilted in favour of the European heavyweights, and the gap in recent performances suggests Madrid will look to extend their dominance. A win for Shakhtar could dramatically reshape the table, but Real’s consistency makes them the clear favourites heading into the fixture.
