Hamburger SV vs FC Schalke 04 (12 December 2026, Bundesliga): match facts, form and head-to-head

Hamburger SV head into the clash at the Volksparkstadion languishing at the foot of the table, eighth‑place in the 2. Bundesliga with three defeats from three games and a bleak 0‑12 goal record. Their visitors, FC Schalke 04, sit comfortably in tenth, having amassed four points after a win, a draw and a loss, and a modest +1 goal difference at 3‑4. The contrast in form is stark, and the hosts will be desperate to snap their losing streak and claim their first points of the season. Schalke, meanwhile, will look to consolidate their recent momentum and extend their unbeaten run against a side that has yet to find the net. The encounter promises a test of whether Hamburg can finally turn the tide or if Schalke will continue to climb the table.
