KVC Westerlo vs Gent (20 December 2026, Jupiler Pro League): match facts, form and head-to-head

KVC Westerlo host a formidable Gent side in what promises to be a stark contrast of form, with the home team sitting 13th on 7 points after two wins, a draw and three defeats, while the visitors sit second with an unbeaten record of five wins and a draw, tallying 16 points. Westerlo’s defensive frailties are evident in a 13‑16 goal deficit, whereas Gent have conceded just three and scored eleven, underscoring the gap in offensive efficiency. The last encounter between the two clubs has generally favored the higher‑placed side, adding extra pressure on Westerlo to close the gap. A win for Gent would further cement their push for the title, while Westerlo will need to tighten up at the back to avoid slipping further down the table.
