Villarreal vs Sabah FA (8 December 2026, UEFA Champions League): match facts, form and head-to-head

Villarreal host Sabah FA in a LaLiga clash with the home side languishing in 18th place, having amassed just two points from four games – no wins, two draws and two defeats, and a goal deficit of six‑to‑eight. The Spaniards will be desperate to turn their fortunes around and climb out of the relegation zone, while Sabah FA arrive with limited statistical context, leaving their recent form a mystery. The encounter pits Villarreal’s fragile defence, which has already leaked eight goals, against an opponent whose attacking credentials remain unrecorded. A positive result for the hosts could be the catalyst they need to halt the slide and spark a late‑season revival.
